On 14–15 May 2025, the HR+ Project partners came together in Vigo, Spain, for two important days of collaboration, discussion and outreach.
The first day was dedicated to an internal project meeting, where partners reviewed progress across key areas – from finalising the research findings to shaping the upcoming pilot training courses and planning new communication actions, including the HR+ Contest. The meeting helped align the next steps and reinforced the commitment to developing an innovative HR professional profile.
The following day, 15 May, the spotlight turned to the wider community. Organised by our partner Gdoce and hosted by the Confederación de Empresarios de Pontevedra (CEP), the HR+ Vigo multiplier event gathered over 40 participants from the HR, education and business sectors. The central question: What skills will HR professionals need in a labour market transformed by digitalisation, talent gaps, and social change?
The programme featured a series of insightful presentations:
- Luis Rey Fernández-Arruty (INEO) opened with an exploration of Artificial Intelligence in HR, highlighting both emerging opportunities and ethical considerations.
- Enric Francesc Oliveras (El Siete Formación) delivered a talk on wellbeing and motivation in complex work environments, offering concrete strategies for building engagement through human-centred organisational cultures.
- Nerea Gómez González (Educatic) addressed the growing challenge of skills shortages, encouraging HR departments to adopt a more proactive role in talent development.
- Francesca Nadalin (Veneto Lavoro) presented the results of a transnational training needs analysis conducted across five EU countries, a key foundation for designing the HR+ professional profile and curriculum.
One of the event’s highlights was the announcement of the HR+ Online Contest, an initiative that will collect and showcase innovative HR practices. The contest will help identify real-world examples to guide the project’s final outputs and will culminate in a European-level award.
The day concluded with a round table discussion where company representatives, trainers and HR professionals exchanged perspectives on the future of HR – from digital skills to diversity and organisational resilience.
The Vigo event perfectly illustrated the HR+ Project’s mission: connecting European innovation with local engagement to build a more digital, inclusive and responsive future for HR professionals.
And stay tuned as more updates will follow as the HR+ Project continues to evolve, with the HR+ Online Contest set to open this September!
