An Integrated RAG and Communities of Practice Model for Organisational Learning

Confronted with the growing fragmentation of organisational knowledge and the rapid rise of generative AI, Luca Valleri set out to rethink how companies learn, remember and evolve. As an Organisation & HR Consultant, he developed an integrated model that combines Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems with structured Communities of Practice — positioning HR as the orchestrator of a hybrid human–AI knowledge ecosystem 

Rather than treating technology as a substitute for expertise, he frames AI as a cognitive infrastructure that stabilises organisational memory, while communities of practice generate, validate and formalise new knowledge. His proposal demonstrates how deliberate governance, cultural stewardship and intelligent digital architecture can transform dispersed expertise into a living, learning-centred system — turning complexity into strategic advantage.
